Adolek and Marysia are Holocaust survivors. Their approach to life is a testament to the strength of the human spirit. They are tenacious, joyous, loving and forgiving. This project celebrates their survival by documenting their legacy, a family of 14 Australian direct descendants.

We Are Here is a visual representation of the Kohn’s post-holocaust journey to Australia as European refugees, where they were given the freedom to reclaim their cultural heritage and build a new family.
